Adún Foods makes plantain clusters in Lagos, Nigeria. We sell them in the United States from Atlanta, by post and by pickup.
What we make
One snack, done properly. Ripe plantains, chopped and fried into craggy, bite-size clusters — crisp at the edges, chewy in the middle, sweet because the fruit is ripe rather than because anything was added to it.
The ingredient list is three items long, four if you count the chili in the Spicy bag. No additives, no preservatives. The sweetness is the plantain's own.
Where it comes from
The snack belongs to a Nigerian tradition — fried plantain sold by the roadside, closest in spirit to dodo Ikire from Osun State. Ours is made in a registered facility in Lagos under NAFDAC registration A8-1750L, from plantains and spices sourced locally.
How we sell in the US
Most of our customers are Nigerians who are tired of waiting for someone to bring a bag back in a suitcase, and curious neighbours who got handed one and came back for more. We keep stock in metro Atlanta, so:
- Pickup is free in Chamblee, GA — usually ready within 24 hours.
- Shipping is at cost. USPS Ground Advantage, the carrier's own price, no markup.
